Annie Kenyon Developments Ltd is a sister company to award winning architectural practice, Annie Kenyon Architects Ltd. Founded in 2017, ak|d is independently building a reputation for providing site-specific, architecturally designed homes created with the clients in mind.

ak|d have a large portfolio of bespoke, architecturally designed homes for sale across Aberdeenshire. In partnership with specialist contractors, homes are built with a mix of traditional and contemporary materials, designed to maximise on light, views and space to deliver site specific, individual properties. ak|d offer a unique product to home buyers, which delivers homes without the need for a self- build mortgage. Built to order, buyers benefit from a process which allows them exceptional choice with ak|d focussed on providing excellent customer service, value for money and an enjoyable experience.

Annie set up ak|a in 2006 after working in practices in London and Edinburgh. Bringing together her passion for design and her desire to create a team of like-minded people she has developed the practice into a unique workplace that is proud of its reputation for quality designs. Annie added a development company to the mix in 2017 - Annie Kenyon Developments.

Duncan joined ak|d in its infancy bringing over twenty years of project and technical experience from the oil industry. A Graduate from Glasgow University with a Degree in Naval Architecture and a masters level in Project Management, Duncan leads the business in the aspects of land negotiation, sales, financial control and strategic planning.

Alan joined ak|d as Construction Manager in 2025, bringing with him 26 years’ experience in Construction Management. Alan meticulously plans our projects from pre-construction through to completion with a strong focus on Health & Safety and efficiency. Continuing to build on quality through inspection, he ensures that we deliver quality homes to our clients, built safely and on time.

Project Coordinator & After Sales Manager

With over two decades in the construction industry, Mike ensures every ak|d project runs smoothly from start to finish - and beyond. Starting out as an apprentice joiner in 1997, he brings hands-on expertise, sharp attention to detail, and a deep understanding of how projects come together. Reliable, approachable, and always involved, Mike works closely with clients and teams to deliver high-quality results and lasting support.

Ross Imray

Chartered AT | Project Coordinator

Ross joined ak|a in 2019 to engage on all levels of commissions from feasibility stage to completion & handover. With a passion for design and detail, Ross has implemented Revit/BIM to the practice. As Project Coordinator, Ross facilitates all design elements, whilst working alongside clients & the construction team on the delivery of each project.

A recent client of ak|d, Martin has gained first hand experience of the ak|d process from start to finish. He joins ak|d as part of the Customer Services team, and will focus on all aspects of the service delivery. Having spent most of his working life in the public sector, he brings extensive experience of management and coordination to the business.

Jane joined ak|d in 2018, and is responsible for business administration, legal and financial planning and marketing. A Law Graduate, with experience working in fast paced small businesses, she is focussed on managing the back office of the business as it goes from strength to strength.

Nick, our in house graphic designer, is an expert specialising in 3d visualisation. With 20+ years of experience in the industry, he utilises his technical skill and artistic flair to create stunning visuals. Nick works closely with his architectural and design colleagues and his work plays an essential role in the business and marketing of our developments.

Business Administrator

Lisa joined ak|a in August 2023 as Business Administrator. After studying Business Administration at Aberdeen College she has gained a wealth of experience across many sectors including Tourism, Retail Management, Event Management and Interior Styling.

Jura

Jura

Office Dog

Jura is our fun-loving and friendly Hungarian Vizsla office dog. His main duties are sleeping and eating, with his favourite part of the day being the lunchtime strolls. Jura shares ak|d’s passion for using sustainable timber, often collecting large branches and sticks on his energetic walks.
